This is a type of decorative jar with a concealed device attached to the lid strap. The body of this jar has no holes and was made simply for decoration. The jar is a short-necked jar mounted on a high base with a triangular three-tiered four-way openwork, and the shoulders and base are decorated with a comb-like wavy pattern. The body of the vessel is of a fine gray base with excellent wheel-thrown technique and a neat and orderly shape.
