This piece, which was shaped by hand kneading and scraping, is probably an attempt to represent a Buddhist statue. The right hand is held forward and the left hand is probably holding a water jar. Many fragments of ceramic pagoda were found in Kurozasa Kiln No. 8, which may have been attached to a part of the inner surface of the first layer of the shaft.
