As we have often mentioned, the Hino-Otani site is a large medieval cemetery complex, and this piece was excavated as a bone implement from Grave No. 16 in the Tago Ward of the site. The small mouth has a straight logo-kuri with a slight chamfer, and the body is large and bulging, which makes it different from the so-called “straight” type slender vessels. The surface of the vessel was scraped and adjusted in the corded clay roll-up molding. The brush-painted ash glaze has a light green color and is markedly uneven.
