This water jar with a rounded, bulging body and small mouth and neck appears slightly past the peak of the Koseto period. It is made of grayish-white, slightly rough clay, and is shaped by rolling up the clay. The body and shoulders are decorated with chinkansen lines, and between the lines are four sets of three chrysanthemum-shaped floral motifs. The ash glaze has been stabilized by increasing the feldspar content, and is slightly oxidized and dark green in parts.
