This jar was excavated from the Ichinomiya City area as a warehouse vessel. The body has a flattened, arithmetic ball shape, and the width of the mouth rim band is remarkably wide. It is made of slightly coarse clay containing fine particles of feldspar and fired with oxidizing iron, with a brownish-brown body covered with a yellowish-green natural glaze in a sesame pattern.
