The fifth generation of the Raku family, and the adopted son of one of the Raku family members. His first name was Sokichi, and later changed to Kichizaemon. His work has a cold and barren style, following the style of Chojiro I. The form is exquisite, and the fire is strong and tight. The form is exquisite and the firing is strong and fire-quenched. Famous examples include Taro, Jiro, Saburo, Kamege, Kurumakushi, and Roshigure. There is also a mukozuke (tea bowl) in the style of kojiti-style with blue, red, yellow, and other color-coded patterns, and a tea bowl with calligraphy by Kakunosai.
