A bowl with hands. In the tea ceremony, it is often used as a bowl for confectionery or a side dish for kaiseki. Oribe has the best examples. Nisei and Kenzan also have this type of bowl.
When handling an old handled bowl with a name, it is not allowed to carry it by the hand. This is because the hand is often damaged.
