HIROSAWA
HIROSAWA

Chukyo specialties. Kinkasan tea caddy, a copy of a poem by Hirozawa. It was owned by Matsudaira Bizen no Mamoru, but Kobori Enshu, who had never seen a tea caddy like this one, inscribed it with the meaning of the poem, “The moon on an autumn night, which no one sees but oneself on the surface of the pond at Hirosawa,” and it passed through Enshu to the Himeji Sakai Marquis. (Chawaniki Bengokushu, Chado Meimono Kou, Chado Meimono Kou)
