The term “beberaro” refers to a bowl or other object with a cut or split mouthpiece that has been overlapped and attached to each other before firing. The spatula used to shape the mouth is either wooden or bamboo. Wooden spatulas are used for carving, with their pointed ends shaped to the required form, while cypress boards are mainly used for stroking during the molding process. In particular, when making strings for large objects such as jars and pots, the wooden planks are used for stroking both inside and outside, and if you look carefully, you can see traces of this process. Since this was the main tool used in cord making, various types of planks appeared as needed. Bamboo spatulas were used as auxiliary tools during the molding process, and many of them were shaped like glue.
