Old glazed ware is called hokko, and new glazed ware is called ukihogashi. Hōkō is what is called soko hikari, and uki hikari is ukikō. However, it is a great mistake to assume that the absence of light is evidence of age. There is no such thing as beautiful ceramics without light. (Yunryusai sesshu, Shina Pottery in Detail)
