A type of mouthwork called a nock-shaped mouth is found on mizusashi, flower vases, incense burners, and other vessels. The shape of the mouth is called yagotsu-guchi because it resembles an arrowhead, with the mouth narrowing as it slopes downward from the edge of the mouth. It is most commonly found in mizushi (water jars), and this is a molding technique that results in a sense of stability when a lid is placed on the jar. This type is most common in Shigaraki, Seto, and Bizen wares. One of the most famous examples of SENKOKU is a water jar with an arrow-necked handle, made by NONKOU.
