The most distinctive type of Suzu ware is the four-lobed jar with raised ring-shaped ears at both ends. It is made of slightly coarse clay with pebbles, but the thickness of the clay is almost uniform throughout the entire piece due to the winding molding technique. The diameter is still relatively large, but the shoulders have lost their tension, which probably dates it to the end of the Kamakura period.
