Height 17.7 cm, mouth diameter 8.3 cm, body diameter 17.7 cm, bottom diameter 12.0 cm
This small jar, with its rounded body and large flat bottom, is probably a type of “Uzukumaru”. The clay, which contains many fine particles of feldspar, has a reddish-brown color. The body is made of five-storied hagi (haggi-zukuri), and the walls are thick and the surface is shaped with horizontal nadirs. There are three and ten inscriptions painted on the shoulder. The mouth rim and part of the body are covered with a post-green natural glaze, some of which flows diagonally and pools at the ends, forming the so-called “dragonfly’s eyeball” shape.
