This is a typical suribachi of the late Muromachi period with a broad green band, and is one of the finest examples of its kind. It is one of the best examples of this type. It is wheel-thrown and water-ground on the left side, and the rim of the mouth shows a heavy workmanship with a 3 cm wide wheel-thrown border. The inner surface is grated using a comb with seven teeth, and the bottom of the inner surface is also grated with a tasuki. It is very well fired to a brownish-brown color with a natural colored glaze on the interior surface. There are heavy firing marks on the inner and outer surfaces.
