This jar belongs to the “round-bodied” series. It is made of high quality clay with low iron content and is shaped in a five-step hagi-mizukuri molding technique with a rolled-up clay body. The mouth rim is bent horizontally, and a 0.6 cm border band is formed on the edge. There is an X mark on the shoulder. The firing is extremely solid and the surface is smooth, with a slight yellowish-green glaze on the shoulder.
