Height 8.9 cm, mouth diameter 9.9 cm, base diameter 4.9 cm
The poem “Shirasagi: Egret, Chojiro ware” on the front of the lid of the inner box and “Interesting, Utsusukarina: Birds’ feathers sound on the stand,” on the back of the lid, were written by Sosomuro Soshitsu (hanashii). According to the two accompanying letters written by Fukyusai Tsoso, it is suggested that Tsoso, who was known as Sen Soyasu, was asked to write the calligraphy for this tea bowl by Soso. The outer box is inscribed by Fumisai and Gensai.
The clay taste, yuzu-hada, and the height of the bowl are the same as those of “Ichimonji” and “Muichimono,” and it can be said that this is an ancient red tea bowl for Chojiro ware. However, the shape of this tea bowl is quite different from the other two, being a rather small tea bowl with a round waist, and it is made in a very simple and lovely appearance. However, similar to “Muichimono”, the bottom is thicker, a gentle helmet width is carved out in the base, five marks remain on the tatami mat, the glaze is thicker than “Muichimono”, and it has a white ikasehada similar to “Ichimonji”, and some parts have a light green fire change. It is almost unknown, but I remember that it was listed in the “Collection of Raku Ware Famous Tea Bowls”.
