This tea bowl has been famous since ancient times as one of the seven types of Chojiro’s outer bowls. It is housed in a unique box commonly known as a Saso box, and Saso wrote “Rikyu’s Yokogumo Red Tea Bowl, Chojiro ware, Sen no Munemuro (flower seal)” on the body of the high body. However, the workmanship of the tea bowl is quite different compared to “Okuro,” “Muichimono,” or “Jirobo,” and it is not clear whether or not this tea bowl is in Rikyu’s possession and was fired before Tensho 19. However, it is not a later work, and it seems that this type of bowl is among the Chojiro ware. It is a small red Raku bowl with a slightly tightened body, a low base, and a shallow cut inside the base. The body of the bowl is slightly tightened, and the height of the bowl is low, with a shallow cutout in the base. The glaze is thick, and the glazed surface has bubbles scattered all over the surface.
