 This bowl is similar to the bowl shown in the previous figure, but the base is slightly larger. The body is decorated with two horizontal spatula lines. The front of the body is rounded, and there is no chadamuri (tea tamari). The overall body is covered with a thick glaze of the same quality as that of “kote-maki,” and the yuzu is well melted on both the interior and exterior surfaces. Many repair marks remain throughout. On the front of the lid of the inner box, Soso wrote “Rerai Aka Chawan, Chojiro ware, possession of Sotan, Soshitsu (flower seal)” and on the back of the lid, Soso wrote “Rerai Aka Chawan, box omotenashi, Soso shouzoku, Kyo Takkusai (flower seal)”.
