This incense burner also bears a seal in the character “raku” on the abdomen. The seal is different from the one on the lion incense burner by Sokei, which is conventionally called the Jokei seal. This is a typical example of the Hakuzu style, which began with the Jokei style and is commonly referred to as Koro-wa. The figure of the lion, with its limbs stretched back and forth, seems to be slightly more stylized than the incense burner in Figs. 91 and 94.
