Height 8.7cm, Bore 11.7-12.4cm, Base 5.2cm in diameter

This is a tea bowl in the same style as the “Rain Cloud” series, but the base is slightly higher and the body is lower. The body is thin, and the body rises straight and neatly, while the mouth part is distorted and elliptical. Another feature of this tea bowl is that the body has two large vertical spatula lines. In addition, the tea bowl has a Tomoe-shaped tea reservoir on the surface, which is rare for Koetsu’s tea bowls. The height is higher than “Amegumo” and “Shigure”, but it is a common workmanship, and the outside is gently connected to the waist, and only the inside of the height is clearly carved into a circle. The inside and outside of the mouth is covered with black glaze from the body to the base, but the black color is well blended into the lacquer black color and has a glossy appearance. There are two or three kiln marks on the mouth and the base, and four large and four small marks on the tatami mats. On the front of the lid of the inner box, “Kurochawan” (black tea bowl) is inscribed in Ishu-like brush strokes.
