This tea bowl is modeled after the carved Mishima design of Koryo tea bowls. It is a spacious bowl shaped tea bowl with a simple ring-shaped stand carved out of it. The entire surface of the bowl, except for a portion of the tatami matted plate, is covered with a decorative oniita, and a three-tiered hinokigaki pattern is randomly carved on the outside, which is then covered with a heavy feldspar glaze. Because the glaze is thin, the reddish tint of the oniita is strong and shows a dark brown burnt surface. It must have imitated the carved Mishima, but it is a more powerful and massive work. It is a bowl that I like as my tea bowl. It is regarded as the work of Takane Kiln.
