 This chunky, heavy-mochi-shaped incense container has a raised, flattened center on the front of the lid, and a low, small ring-shaped base. The white glaze over the entire surface, except for the joint between the body and lid, is well melted, and the red charring around the bottom is vivid. The white glaze is melted well and the red charring around the bottom is brilliant. Both are estimated to have been made in the Muta-dong or Naka kilns in Oyase.
