Shino bowl with bridge design

Height 8.2 cm, mouth diameter 28.3 cm, bottom diameter 20.2 cm
This is a large gong bowl with a simple upright side and twisted mouth rim in the style of a tama-rim. It has an unusual pictorial design with a large picture of a bridge painted on the upper part and a pile-like figure on the lower part. The surface is slightly dull, but there is a faint reddish tinge to the glaze. It is thought to be an early Shino pot. The bottom is of the go-zoko type, with the center rounded off shallowly. There are four small marks on the bottom.
