This tea caddy is in the kagashi-shaped form with a sideways opening, and the overall appearance is of a zanguri-style. The body is covered with horizontal horizontal lines and two vertical lines on the front, and ash glaze is applied from the mouth to the bottom of the front, while the rest of the body is burnished red. The box is inscribed “Iga Charyu Yamaki Za (flower seal)” by Nyoshinzai Soza, the seventh generation of Omotesenke. It was handed down to the Shushin’an tea ceremony house. It is one of the most tasteful Iga ware tea caddies.
