Daiwa Bunka-kan
This is one of the representative masterpieces of the early large underglaze blue bowls.
The shape of the bowl is similar to that of the first painting, boldly depicting a large view of landscapes in a circular outlook.
Two sailing boats are depicted in the center, a tree resembling a plum tree is placed on a strange rock in the near view to the left, and what appears to be a pavilion is depicted to the right.
The rim is decorated with nine chrysanthemums with two flowers each, and the ground is covered with dotted patterns in a haphazard manner.
The coloring of the underglaze blue is dark and vivid, and probably imported high-quality gosu (gouzu) was used.
