Covered bowl with quail and autumn grass design, bule and white

Height 13.7 cm, mouth diameter 20.8 cm, bottom diameter 10.8 cm
The lid is of the same shape as the lid piece shown in the color painting, with a rust-glazed cloud-shaped cord in the center of the lid shell and paintings of autumn grasses and quails gently painted on the left and right sides, and on the outside of the body, an autumn grass design with a chrysanthemum theme is shown on one side and on the other side. Both the shape and design of the vessel are in the typical Kakiemon style, and the Kakufuku inscription, which is considered a characteristic of the Kakiemon line, is written within a circle on the base of the lid, and there are five marks. We have seen several tsumetsuke lidded wares of this type, but this is the most outstanding of them all. It was probably made around the Genroku period.
