A large tree in dark green and purple is depicted within a circular window with a design of blue ocean waves on a yellow background. The design has a strong color scheme that evokes the intense sunlight of midsummer, and is highly regarded as the first masterpiece of the Aote Koya Kutani school. The reverse side is decorated with large swirling arabesques, and the entire surface is covered with yellow glaze.
