Height 6.2 cm, mouth diameter 24.6 cm, base diameter 15.9 cm, height of base 3.8 cm
This flat dish has a clear low rim and a wide, high base with a transverse pattern on three sides. A similar bowl was excavated from an old Kutani kiln site. The base is white with a circular window with fine underglaze blue lines in the center of the expected area. Needless to say, the design symbolizes the New Year, but while most Ko-Kutani style color paintings have a heavy color scheme, this piece is overglazed with a light and simple color tone. The side of the bowl has a light purple border. There is a mark in the center of the base where it has been stuck.
