Height 31.5 cm, Aperture 25.1 cm, Tripod
This is probably the largest of Kume’s works. Although it is not clear whether the flowerpot and the koran were made as a single piece, the workmanship of the koran is outstanding. It has seven pillars, each pillar is decorated with a swastika rounded pattern, and each pillar is decorated with a pseudo-pearl. The pillars are each decorated with a gibojyu, and the decorative effect is achieved by a line drawing in a slightly lighter color of kozome-tsuke (old blue and white). The flowerpot has a flattened, thick guard with a tapered body and three animal feet on the bottom with a hole in the center for drainage. The sword guard and base are painted in a light dark ground with a thunderbolt pattern and the inscription “KOKI KANKIME ZOKU” is written in underglaze blue on the inside of the legs.
