15th century
Height 45.5 cm, mouth diameter 18.3 cm, body diameter 34.6 cm, bottom diameter 18.3 cm
This is probably the largest of the four-mimi jars with ash glaze from Kosedo. The upright, thick oral cavity, the sloping shoulders of the large-bottomed body, and the low, stable base are typical of the style of the early 15th century. The base is grayish white and molded. The shoulder has two eyelet lines across the ears. The ash glaze is stable with a thick glaze layer and a light yellowish green color after slightly oxidized firing, although there is some flow of ash glaze on the lower half of the body.
