15th century
Height 16.6 cm, mouth diameter 15.3 cm, body diameter 8.2 cm, bottom diameter 10.1 cm
The neck of this vase is extremely wide open, and this is a rare example of such an exaggerated form, which may indicate the early stage of the Zun style vase. The vase is decorated with 11 small petal-like markings on the base of the mouth and 18 on the body. The ash glaze is a slightly reduced, shiny green color, and there are some cobalt color variations in places. This is one of the finest of the early Son style vases.
