This jar has the same shape as the San-suji jar, and there is another type of jar without chinker lines. It was probably produced as a variant of a late Heian period ash-glazed jar. This jar has an inward-tilted neck and a straight line from the body to the bottom, and is close to the end of this series of jars. The brownish-brown base has a color characteristic of Tokoname, with feldspar spouting, and the dark green natural glaze running down from the shoulder to the body is similar to that found on large jars and pots of the late Kamakura period.
