This vase was excavated from a large tree that fell on the site of the former Nemoto Nyobodo Hall during Typhoon No. 24 in September 1965. It is a long-bodied, flat-bottomed, short-necked jar with four ring-shaped lateral ears, which is rare for this type of jar. The base is a brown color with high iron content, and the surface is darkened by carbonization due to smoky firing. The natural glaze has flowed heavily from the shoulder to one side of the body, but the color is dark green, influenced by the color tone of the vessel’s skin.
