Enshu Gosensen Juhachihin (Enshu Selected Eighteen Items)

marusankakusikaku

Book title. A copy. Each tea container is described with the names of 18 different kilns selected by Enshu Kobori.
The eighteen items are selected from the three kilns of Shinchuko, Konkasan, and Hafu. In other words, the Manchuko kiln listed seven types: Ogawa, Shigawa, Hashihime, Noda, Sobote, Hyogata, and Mendori; the Konokayama kiln listed eight types: Asukagawa, Tamakashiwa, Takinami (Aoe), Otsu, Hirosawa, Futami, Takinami, and Shinnyodo; and the Hafu kiln listed three types: Minanokawa, Otowa, and Ou. Since the number of honka has increased since then, this book must be a record of Enshu’s selections made in his middle age by his students.
