Küchū (grandson of Köetsu): cylindrical tea bowl, known

Height 10.8cm, mouth diameter 9.1cm, base diameter 5.6cm
This is the most outstanding tea bowl among the Raku ware tea bowls left by Soranaka.
While following Koetsu, Soranaka’s originality can be seen in this bowl. It is a tea bowl with the body standing up in the shape of a bow, and the painting of the moon in white is roughly expressed on the body, and the other parts are covered with ameyuzu, and the workmanship of the stand is incomparably excellent, and this tea bowl is such a masterpiece that it is said that we cannot talk about Kukanaka without seeing this tea bowl. However, it can be said that this type of Kukan pottery was also made by his grandfather Koetsu, and it was also under the influence of Kukan that Kenzan began his career as a potter.
