This water jar has a strong, solid, and voluminous appearance.
The flat bottom is cut with an itokiri, and as usual, the hem of the body is spatula-shaped. The body is decorated with a painting of a cypress fence and trees, which is typical of Toyama, but the painting is thin and indistinct. The Shino glaze is slightly thin, but the glaze melts well and the fire color is vividly expressed. It is not clear whether or not it is from the original, but it is rare to find a lid attached to it. The glazed surface of the lid, however, is quite worn. The overall appearance is not showy, but it is a calm and dignified suijina. It is from the former collection of Masuda Nunoo.
