 This is now used as a hibiya (fire bowl), but it was originally made as a mukozuke. The shape is almost the same as the previous example, but the design is different. The glaze is thick, with rough penetrations, and the bottom shows earth, revealing a layer of Hyakuso clay. There are two similar pieces in the collection, one in Osaka and the other in Tokyo, and they must have once been a set of five or ten.
