Shino tea bowl with tortoise-shell design

Height 8.3 cm, mouth diameter 13.7 cm, base diameter 6.9 cm
 This tea bowl is decorated with a turtle shell design, a spear point design, and a mountain road design, and the smooth glaze has a bright reddish color. The smooth glaze has a bright reddish color. The sides of the base are slightly rounded, and the base has a tortoiseshell-like shape. There is a rounded tea bowl with three small marks on it. It is assumed that all of the above mentioned Yoshite type tea bowls were fired in Muta-do, Oyaya. Although there are still some uncertainties, there is no doubt that they were produced in Ohgaya, where Shino’s representative works were fired.
