Height 7.3 cm, mouth diameter 27.4 cm, four legs.
This is a potter’s wheel thrown round and then distorted to form an incorrectly rounded shape. The rim is guard-shaped and the tama-rim is held inward, but it is more docile than Shino Sawasaburo-patterned bowls or Shino lotus-patterned bowls. The entire surface is covered with a thick white glaze that melts evenly.
The painting has a slightly bluish tint, and is of a design that suggests it was made in the Keicho period, with its spacious brushstrokes on the rounded bottom four sides. The rounded bottom has legs on all four sides, and four large eye marks remain between the legs.
