Height 8.2 cm, mouth diameter 6.3 cm, bottom diameter 5.0 cm
This pot was originally made as a mukozuke, and it is likely that five or ten similar pots were also made, but today it is often used alone as a hibiya because of its rather large size and excellent workmanship. It is an ideal Shino ware, with paintings of fountain grass and wildflowers on all four sides. The colors are beautiful, and the white glaze over the entire surface melts smoothly, showing the softness characteristic of Shino. It is a four-sided potter’s wheel with a rounded base, and the four corners are vertically knurled to form a corner shape. The bottom of the go-zukuri style is rounded in the center and shallowly cut.
