The most famous incense containers made in Kizeto are a series of pieces known as hoshu or nedaigata. The Hoshu type incense container in the collection of the Nezu Museum is an unparalleled masterpiece, and this is almost the same shape, but slightly larger. It is not covered with vitriol, and has only a rounded iron glaze, but its rounded shape is very generous.
