Kogei is one of the most popular tea ceremony utensils made in Koseto. This Koseto incense container is not a fried type, but it is an excellent piece of this type of Koseto incense container. The entire surface is covered with Kizeto glaze, and the glaze has a slightly white tinge. The base of the bowl has a shallow, rounded shape, and the body and lid are both glazed with a gewgawara glaze. The glaze is similar to that of tea bowls, and it is also unglazed, indicating that this is a rather early example.
