The bowl is flat in shape. The waist is rounded on the potter’s wheel and has a rather small base. The base is also carelessly made and may be an early example of Setoguro ware. The early Setoguro tea bowl excavated from Nigane in Onada was not as flat as this one, but it was quite similar in style.
