Height 7.7 cm, mouth diameter 12.9 cm, high base diameter 5.9 cm
This is not Seto black. It is an Oribe black type of work. However, the wheel-thrown form of this potter’s wheel is not what is called “tsuke-taidai,” but rather the height of the base is cut out in a simple ring-taidai shape. Therefore, it is possible that there are two types in the Seto-Kuro line: one is the wheel-thrown type and the other is the tsuke-taiko type similar to the Shino type. The mouth is distorted in the shape of a shoe, and the body has several spatula stripes. The mouth is distorted in the shape of a shoe, and the body is decorated with several spatula stripes, and the four sides of the body are covered with ten-pointed spatula stripes. It is thought to have been fired at the Oyasan Kiln in Kusiri.
