Oribe flower pot with design of sangi (divining blocks)

Oribe ware belongs to the Shino Oribe group, which is commonly referred to as Shino Oribe, and its appearance is a copy of the shape of Kinuta celadon and other types of sukite flower vases. Instead of carving the four sides of the body as in celadon vases, the ironwork is applied in iron pigments. Figure 124 is painted in black and Figure 125 in rust color, but they were probably fired around the same time. The entire surface is covered with feldspar glaze, but the tatami mats are in gouged clay.
