This jar is one of the simplest examples of ekaratsu. The body is richly stretched with a sense of hem tension, while the low mouth is stepped and warped on the inside, and the base is roundly and carelessly carved on the inside. The body is covered with a feldspar glaze containing ashes, one side of which is roughly pierced and whitish, the other side is reddish brown, and the iron painting is rusty red. The iron painting is also reddish rust color. It was donated to the Tokyo National Museum by Matsushige Hirota.
