Height 6.3 cm, mouth diameter 6.3 cm, base diameter 3.1 cm
This is a cup that rises up easily, and the inside of the base is carved out in an interesting rounded shape. The entire body is slightly thicker than the rest of the piece. The inside and outside are covered with straw ash glaze, and the mouth and part of the body are covered with ame glaze in a pattern of spotted karatsu. This is an unprecedented piece, and is a masterpiece of excellence among Karatsu cups. It is estimated to have been made by the Okawara Kiln.
