Peach-shaped mukōzuke bowl with bridge design, E-garatsu type

Height 8.3 cm, mouth diameter 10.1 x 10.5 cm, base diameter 6.1 cm
 The mouth is made in the shape of a peach, the stepped base is rounded, and the open base is clearly carved. This is probably one of Uchida Saraya’s masterpieces of painted karatsu mukozuke. The bridge and the front and back are painted with a bridge and a road pattern, and the mouth rim is covered with iron pigments. The mouth rim is covered with iron pigments. This piece is a reminder of the skillful potters who worked at the Uchida Saraya kiln.
