Height 13.7 cm, mouth diameter 9.1 cm, body diameter 20.1 cm, bottom diameter 9.5 cm
While Karatsu vases often have wide mouths, this jar is unusually small, with a mouth rim that does not curve outward but rather tapers inward. The body is richly stretched, and the bottom is flat without a base. The body is decorated with water plants, trees, plovers, and other patterns painted in thin brushstrokes. The interior and exterior are generously and thickly glazed, and the glazed surface has a rare softness. There is no other jar with this kind of workmanship. Judging from the brushwork of the painted pattern, it seems to have been made by the Taku Koraiya Kiln.
