This long-bodied, flat-bottomed jar has a human face painted on the outer surface. The ink is faded and the shape of the face is barely discernible. The head is hooded with a frame around the nose and mouth, and there is no beard. This is the northernmost known excavated example of a human face with ink brushwork.
